Amy Taylor, Porter Fellow
Amy Taylor has swapped life in East London in the UK for life in East Jerusalem. She is a Potential Ordinand (Postulant) in the process of selection for ordination training which she hopes to start in September 2023.
She has a BA Joint Honours in French and Italian from the University of Leeds and a Postgraduate degree in Secondary Teaching (Modern Foreign Languages.)
Amy had a 12 year career teaching languages in secondary schools in London and serving as a Senior Leader before taking an adult “gap year” to travel through South America and to walk the Camino di Santiago before retraining as a Chef.
She has been working as a Head Chef and Food Educator through the charity Chefs in Schools, bringing together two passions of food and education.
This is her first time visiting the Holy Land bringing her teaching, pilgrimage and hospitality experience to her role at Saint George’s College, while serving and preparing for ministry at the Cathedral.
