Stéphanie Burette is French and graduated from seminary (Berkeley at Yale in the US) in May 2019. A transitional deacon since last June, she has served at St. George’s College and Cathedral since September. As the College Porter Fellow, her main role is to minister to the pilgrims. She also assists the Cathedral clergy, and volunteers for the Jerusalem Peacebuilders.

Prior to receiving her M.Div., Stéphanie studied and taught French Literature in both high schools in France and the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris. Her Ph.D. thesis explored how rules were taught to painters at the Royal Academy of Art in Paris in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and how room was made for deviations.
