St. George’s College was originally founded in 1920 as a theological school for Palestinian seminarians. However, the political complexities and challenges in the Middle East made that original vision impossible. Therefore, in the 1960s, a new, broader vision was developed for educating clergy and laity from the worldwide Anglican Communion and throughout the ecumenical Church. Over the years, St. George’s College courses have renewed faith and changed lives. We now offer courses for pilgrimage, interfaith dialogue with the living stones, and reconciliation. The programs vary in length from 8 days, the Introduction to Bible Lands, to the 14 day Palestine of Jesus Course. The Ministry Formation Program in January provides seminarians, clergy and lay the opportunity to deepen their theology by living here in the land of the Holy One thru daily worship, sacred site visits, and formation group discussions.
